The Board of Directors of the UAE Karate Federation reviewed the preparations for hosting the Karate 1 Youth League, which is scheduled to take place in Fujairah from February 20-23, 2025.
The prestigious event is expected to feature over 100 countries and around 3,000 participants, including athletes, coaches, and officials.
The members of the board of directors of the federation held a meeting chaired by Major General Nasser Abdul Razzaq Al Razouqi, President of the UAE and Asian Federations and Vice President of the International Federation.
The agenda focused on the meticulous planning required for the championship, with the board recommending the formation of specialized working groups to coordinate efforts with the committees of the World Karate Federation.
The meeting was attended by Rashid Abdul Majid Al Ali, Asian Karate Federation Vice President and UAE Karate Federation Vice President; Engineer Hamid Shams Al Zarouni, Secretary General of the UAE Karate Federation; Engineer Marwan Sinkel, Dr. Abdullah Al Badi, Assistant Secretary-General, Mohammed Harbouk Al Shehhi, Financial Director, Ibrahim Al Nuaimi, chairman of the competitions Committee, along with Mohammed Abbas, Executive Director of the federation, and Hisham Siri, technical director of the federation.
The board members also congratulated Dr. Abdullah Al Badi on the publication of his new book (Modern Leadership) and reviewed the latest preparations for hosting the West Asian Karate Championship, which will be held in Sharjah from November 26 to December 2.
The participation of the national team in this championship was also discussed, as was the participation of the national team in the Arab Karate Championship in Jordan during the period from December 24-29.
