The 9th edition of the Al Habtoor Tennis Cup returned with renewed vibrancy, welcoming more than 280 male and female players from across the UAE, including citizens and residents.
This much-anticipated tournament, kicked off on Friday at the held at the Habtoor Grand Resort in Jumeirah, will run until December 8, celebrating a showcase of talent and sportsmanship.
The categories included this time are junior boys and girls aged 12, 14, 16 and 18, as well as the Men’s Open, Women’s Open and Masters (34 years and above).
Noura Badawi the tournament director, emphasised the unwavering commitment of the Al Habtoor Group, led by its founder and Chairman, Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor.
Under his guidance, the group has steadfastly championed tennis by hosting this inclusive tournament for 11 categories annually for the seventh consecutive year.
Held in collaboration with the UAE Tennis Federation, the event stands as a testament to the UAE’s dedication to fostering the spirit of sports.
“A beacon of tennis excellence, this tournament illuminates the UAE Tennis Federation’s ranking circuit. It is our privilege to nurture the blossoming talent within this sport, she added.
