Soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo has shared a fun challenge with his son, Cristiano Ronaldo Jr., during their Christmas holidays in Finland, the Express Tribune reported on Wednesday.
In a video posted on his Instagram account, the football star is seen dipping himself into a freezing cold pool surrounded by snow in temperatures as low as -20°C.
"Guys, look at this experiment, freezing!" Ronaldo exclaimed in the video as he entered the icy water pool.
Ronaldo's 14-year-old son, Cristiano Ronaldo Jr., was seen watching his father with a smile, as Ronaldo challenged him to take the plunge as well.
The 39-year-old Portuguese international travelled with partner Georgina Rodriguez and their children, who met Santa Claus in a 10-minute video posted online by Ronaldo on Tuesday. Ronaldo also shared the magical moments of his Christmas celebrations in his YouTube vlog, where he took his kids to meet Santa Claus and enjoyed festive activities like making gingerbread cookies, sipping hot cocoa, and dancing together.
In the vlog, Ronaldo expressed how special Christmas is for his family. “For us, Christmas is a very special time because we spend it with our family. Gio loves it because we’ve been coming here for three years, and the kids love it too,” he said.
“It’s a special time, especially since there are usually no matches, and I get to be with my family. For me, being with my family is the best,” he added.
The former Real Madrid and Manchester United great appeared to decline to ski with his family. He wished his followers - including 645 million on Instagram - a "Merry Christmas” in Spanish.
The Al Nassr striker is on a winter break from the Saudi Pro League until Jan. 9.
