The second round of the UAE Formula 4 Powerboat Championship ended on a successful note at the Khorfakkan Beach, marking a spectacular end to the competition as part of the Khorfakkan Marine Festival.
The event was organised by the Sharjah International Marine Sports Club.
Salim Al Yafie, representing the Mubarak Marine Team, claimed first place, with his team-mate Obaid Mubarak finishing in second. Khalid Mohammed Al Zarooni from the Sharjah Team secured third place.
The closing ceremony was graced by Sheikh Ahmed Bin Hamdan Bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE Sailing and Rowing Federation, alongside Ahmed Issa Al Hosani, Director General of the Sharjah International Marine Sports Club.
The two presented awards to the top performers. Special recognition was given to Alia Firoz, the first female Emirati to compete in the category, for her significant participation.
Hosani highlighted the Sharjah International Marine Sports Club's ongoing commitment to the promotion and development of marine sports within the UAE.
He expressed immense pride in hosting the UAE Formula 4 Powerboat Championship as part of the Khorfakkan Marine Festival, underscoring the UAE’s growing reputation as a leading destination for sports in the region.
The successful conclusion of the event further emphasized the club's dedication to providing outstanding platforms for athletes, fostering both healthy competition and collaboration among marine sports enthusiasts.
