The kit launching ceremony for the upcoming Chinar Super League (CSL) Season Seven was held in Dubai Sunday evening.
The event featured the presentation of jerseys for the 16 participating teams, attended by their captains.
Prominent business leaders, including Kamran Ghani, Chairman of Empire Developments and Ghani Holding Group of Companies; Asad Qureshi, Head of Smart Creation; and Osama Asif Jabar, Managing Director of Park Group, participated in the jersey distribution.
The Chinar Super League, an annual cricket tournament for the Kashmiri community in the UAE, has taken its message of peace and environmental sustainability to new heights. The trophy for the league’s seventh season was displayed at the globally renowned Dal Lake in Srinagar, an iconic tourist destination in the Kashmir region.
The announcement was made by Chinar Super League Chairman Raja Asad Khalid during the grand unveiling ceremony.
Addressing the media, Raja Asad Khalid emphasized the league's role in uniting the Kashmiri diaspora while embracing the UAE’s spirit of tolerance. He explained that the decision to showcase the trophy at Dal Lake was also aimed at raising awareness about climate challenges in the region.
Additionally, a video of the trophy placed at Srinagar’s historic Jamia Masjid was unveiled during the event, receiving widespread acclaim.
Kamran Ghani, Chairman of Empire Developments and Ghani Holding Group of Companies, praised the UAE’s leadership for promoting inclusivity and providing opportunities based on talent rather than background. “This vision aligns with the values of the Chinar Super League, which is why Empire Developments proudly supports this initiative," he said, adding: “We are partnering with Chinar Super League for a tree-planting drive in Dubai and across the UAE, contributing to environmental conservation efforts.”
Asad Qureshi highlighted the league’s commitment to sustainability by unveiling eco-friendly team jerseys made from recyclable materials, minimizing environmental impact.
Osama Asif Jabar announced Park Group’s support for the league’s climate awareness campaign.
The Chinar Super League has pledged to plant 50 trees this season in Srinagar, Muzaffarabad, and Dubai. Last year, eight trees were planted in each city as part of the initiative to combat global warming.
This year’s tournament also features an official anthem, showcasing the scenic beauty of Kashmir. Produced by digital creator Arif Urfi, with lyrics by Shehzad Rathore, the anthem was shot using advanced drone technology in Srinagar and Muzaffarabad, capturing breathtaking visuals of the region.
The seventh season of the Chinar Super League promises to deliver an extraordinary blend of sports, cultural pride, and environmental advocacy, setting a benchmark for community-driven initiatives in the UAE.
