The Board of Directors of the UAE Karate Federation announced the convening of the Asian Karate Federation Executive Committee meeting on February 21, coinciding with the World Karate Youth League Championship in Fujairah.
Karate 1-Youth League Fujairah will be held from February 20 to 23.
This was revealed during a meeting of the federation’s Board of Directors, chaired by Major General (Ret.) Nasser Abdul Razzaq Al-Razouki, President of both UAE and Asian Karate Federations, and Vice President of the International Federation, with the attendance of the board members.
The federation also announced that, as part of the activities accompanying the World Youth League Championship, an international referees’ training course will be organized in coordination with the International Karate Federation. This initiative reflects the federation's commitment to developing the refereeing system and supporting technical cadres.
Additionally, the federation approved the plans of making arrangements inside the Zayed Sports Complex in Fujairah for the first time in national karate championships, to accommodate the large number of participants.
Nasser Al-Razouki emphasized the importance of completing all logistical and technical arrangements to ensure the global event’s success and to present it in the best possible light.
He noted that the championship is a major sporting event attracting a select group of talented young athletes from around the world, underscoring the UAE’s prominent position as a leading destination for hosting international championships.
