Amidst roaring crowds, the Goan Premier League (GPL) 2025 unfolded as a breathtaking saga of cricketing brilliance, fierce rivalries, and unforgettable moments.
With sheer determination, tactical prowess, and a display of exceptional teamwork, the Panjim Strikers emerged as the undisputed champions of GPL 2025.
Panjim won the toss and asked Valpoi Challengers to bat first.
Valpoi scored 56 for the loss of six wickets. Yunus Wahab top scored with 46 runs off the 18 balls including three boundaries and four sixes.
Panjim achieved the target in 4.2 overs only.
Valpoi, the gallant runners-up, showcased impeccable cricketing skills throughout the tournament.
Having won four consecutive matches, they looked set for glory but fell just short of clinching the ultimate prize.

GPL 2025 kicked off with a mega auction on in Dubai, where the fate of the six competing teams—Panjim Strikers, Valpoi Challengers, Ponda Bhaijans, Bicholim Giants, Margao Kings, and Mapusa Blasters—was decided.

As the tournament progressed, every team fought tooth and nail to secure a place in the knockouts.
The high-voltage semi-finals saw Valpoi Challengers outclass Ponda Bhaijans, while Panjim Strikers triumphed over Bicholim Giants in a nail-biting contest.
Meanwhile, Margao Kings and Mapusa Blasters, despite showcasing commendable performances, fell just short of making it to the knockout stage.
The presentation ceremony was a grand affair, attended by esteemed personalities from the Goan community.
Tanvir, Azhar, Jilan, Siraj, Murad, Azim, and Valpoi Owner Sameer graced the presentation ceremony, alongside Radio 4 news presenter Rahima and social media influencer Haitam.
