Officially launched on Wednesday, June 17, this new initiative from Food Sheikh — who is considered the UAE’s leading food critic and often known as the Banksy of the country's food scene, thanks to his anonymity — is about storytelling and celebrating home-grown chefs.
Essentially an online delivery dining platform, Food Sheikh All Stars brings together a melange of Dubai’s famous culinary trailblazers to curate an exclusive and exciting delivery menu for an at-home dining experience.
In the works for over 12 months, the delivery concept boasts industry leaders that have been shaping the country’s F&B landscape.
Speaking about the new online platform’s manifesto, Food Sheikh stated, “We’ve brought together chefs with different styles, different backgrounds and different stories, but with one very important thing in common.
“They’re all going to take your breath away. This is where humans and food connect. These are our All Stars.”
Pictured are some of the country's top chefs whose creations can now be sampled at home.
The All Stars chef line-up includes the who’s who from the Dubai restaurant scene — Reif Othman, Omar Rodriguez, Anuar Akmal, Liz Stevenson, Tom Arnel, Mohamad Orfali, Greg Malouf, Stasha Toncev and Urosh Mitrasinovic.
Together they have created the ultimate mixtape of dishes that celebrate the very best of their culinary talent.
The drift given to the star chefs was crafting dishes that tell a story and encapsulate their personality through food.
Some of the stellar grub on the All Stars menu includes: 4 Hour Beef Ribs by Akmal Anuar, All American Chicken Sando by Omar Rodriguez, Tulum Prawn Tacos by Tom Arnel and Dynamite Shawarma Roll by Mohamed Orfali.
Besides the above mentioned dishes showcasing the full range of the chefs culinary prowess, classics have also been given an innovative spin: Four Cheese Swanky Arabian Rolls by Greg Malouf, Beef Shish Cevap Wrap by Stasha and Urosh and the Chipotle Chicken Poke by Reif Othman, all wrapped up with a White Choc & Lime Cheesecake by Liz Stevenson.
This on-trend menu has also been geared with the consumer in mind as the All Stars have all been briefed by Food Sheikh to hit an accessible price point, giving guests real value for money.
Customers will be encouraged to order directly via the website to support the industry, however no one goes unsupported.
All the usual food aggregators are also playing their part in the roll out of this epic menu.
The All Stars kitchen is open seven days a week from 11.30am to 11.30pm, prices starting from Dhs25. Delivery is currently available in the Marina area (covering a wide area from Emirates Living, JBR and Jumeriah Park down to Umm Suqeim 3 and everything along the way) and can be accessed directly through www.fsallstars.com as well as through all the usual delivery platforms.
