Butchery shut down for violating regulations

Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFA) closed down Butchery Perspective branch 6, in vegetable market Zayed city, for violating the law guiding food in the Emirate, on Wednesday.

According to authorities, the butchery was closed, because it violated the health requirements needed for handling waste beef and sheep that are not fit for human consumption.

The establishment also sells frozen cows as fresh to consumers.

Closing down the establishment is part of the Inspection Authorityy agenda to ensure food in the Emirate are safe for consumption.

The Inspection Authority spokesperson, calls on the public to alert the authority of any violation found in any food facility. That can be done by calling the toll free number of the Government of Abu Dhabi, 800555.
