Dubai releases price list of essential items

In other to control food and essential items prices, the Dubai Economy Department (DED) released a price list of items on Friday.
This measure is to control the hike of prices that retailers have been indulging in, since the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic.
DED launched a ‘Price Monitor’ to help track prices of essential items. The portal has a list of minimum and maximum price of the items, to download the monitor visit http://price.ded.ae/pricelist

The DED issued a decision to take disciplinary action against anyone that increase prices without justification, in order to regulate the market and ensure consumer protection.

The DED said a dedicated portal - www.price.ded.ae - has also been launched to strengthen communication with consumers and enable them raise their complaints and queries on price increases faster and easier.
