The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department (IACAD) in Dubai has authorised setting up Iftar tents for fasting people during the Holy Month of Ramadan.
According to Mohammed Musabbeh Ali Dhahi, Acting Executive Director of the Charitable Work Sector at IACAD, Iftar tents were authorised to be pitched in Dubai based on the desire of many people, donors, philanthropists, businessmen and charitable societies operating in Dubai.
Meals are also authorised to be offered in mosques and distributed to the needy people after the necessary permits have been obtained from the IACAD, he said.
Fasting people, however, do not require PCR to enter the tents and mosques for Iftar as this is carried out in an organised and civilised manner commensurate with the nature and morals of the Holy Month of Ramadan.
For inquiries about obtaining permits and setting up Iftar tents, people can directly contact the IACAD on toll-free number 800600, visit the Emirates Charity website ww.ecp.ae, visit the IACAD in person or send the papers to [email protected].
