LIDE — Business Leaders’ Group hosted the Brazil Emirates Conference in the United Arab Emirates from March 6th to 8th. The event  attracted entrepreneurs and authorities with the focus of discussing bilateral trade opportunities in Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

The conference took place at the Hotel Kempinski The Boulevard Dubai. Agribusiness, Innovation and Technology, Infrastructure, and Real Estate are among the macro themes which will be discussed and will be the focus of investments, particularly by major Emirati funds.

Chairman of LIDE, Luiz Fernando Furlan, former Minister of State of Brazil, the United Arab Emirates is an important market in several areas. Bilateral trade is important and an environment of cooperation contributes to business expansion.

The President of LIDE Emirates, Rodrigo Paiva, believes that LIDE’s first major global event in the country, where a division of the group was opened this year, will bring the productive sector of both nations even closer together and create good opportunities.

The Chairman of LIDE Emirates Mohamed Jassim Al Rais, stressed the importance of LIDE in the process of economic rapprochement between the UAE and Brazil and opening new opportunities and horizons

João Doria, Co-Chairman of LIDE, former governor of the State of São Paulo and former mayor of the city of São Paulo, underlines the importance of a delegation of relevant entrepreneurs on a bilateral basis. “In addition to discussing issues of mutual interest and expanding dialogue between sectors, the visits to funds such as Mubadala and ADIA offer excellent business prospects.”

The President of LIDE, João Doria Neto, says that the launch of major events in the Middle East demonstrates LIDE’s global presence and strengthens its differentiation within the world’s productive sector.
