UAE reveals 1,520 new COVID-19 cases, 2 deaths in last 24 hours

The UAE Ministry of Health has announced that it conducted 273,251 additional COVID-19 tests.

The ministry revealed that over the past 24 hours they have detected 1,520 new coronavirus cases in the country.

The authorities said that it aims to expand the scope of tests to curb the spread of coronavirus cases in the country.

The ministry said that two people died due to COVID related complications, bringing the total number of deaths in the country to 1,969.

The ministry is using the state-of-the-art medical equipment to treat people.

The ministry has announced that 49,079 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine were given in the past 24 hours.

The total number of doses provided up to Friday stands at 17,037,618 with a rate of vaccine distribution of 172.26 doses per 100 people.

The authorities have expressed their sincere condolences to the families of the deceased and wished COVID-19 patients a speedy and full recovery.

The authorities have urged members of the community to cooperate with health authorities, adhere to the instructions and physical distance to ensure the health and safety of all.

The doctors said that 1,481 previously infected COVID-19 patients have fully recovered from the infections.
