The Permanent Mission of Pakistan to the United Nations in Geneva has secured the top spot in the "Social Media Engagement" category at the 9th Geneva Engage Awards.

Organised by the Diplomatic Foundation, a Swiss-Maltese NGO, the awards recognise outstanding efforts in digital outreach and communication by various actors in Geneva, including international organisations, non-governmental groups, and permanent representations.

In a statement carried by the Associated Press of Pakistan (APP), Pakistan's Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the UN in Geneva, Bilal Ahmad, lauded the sustained efforts of the Pakistani Foreign Office in promoting public and digital diplomacy. He highlighted the importance of connecting with global communities on issues like climate change, human rights, development, and migration.

The Geneva Engage Awards celebrate the crucial links between Geneva and communities worldwide impacted by international policies.
