UAE President orders monthly allowance of 50% of basic salary for all staff of mosques

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, directed a monthly financial allowance of 50 percent of the basic salary for all workers in mosques in the UAE.

Imams and muezzins at the state level affiliated with the General Authority for Islamic Affairs and Endowments will benefit from the decree.

Dr. Omar Habtoor Al Derai, Chairman of the Authority, said that this gesture, which came with the follow-up and support of Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and President of the Presidency Court, would be automatically disbursed with the monthly salary.

He expressed his thanks and appreciation to Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan for their concern and care for those working in mosques, and their support for the General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowments to fulfil its religious duties and social duty.
