UAE committed to provide better healthcare for all, says President Mohamed Bin Zayed

The UAE marked the World Health Day (WHD) themed "My Health, My Right" on Sunday with the aim of advocating for the right of everyone, everywhere, to access decent Health services and care without discrimination.

President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan took to X platform to mark the occasion, saying that investing in health is a major priority in the UAE's development strategy.

"On World Health Day, we renew our commitment to strengthening healthcare systems and preserving the well-being and dignity of people in the UAE and around the world," writes Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed on X.

"Through fostering local and international partnerships, continued investment in research and innovation, and intensified efforts to eradicate preventable diseases, we aim to contribute to improved health for all," concluded Sheikh Mohamed.

On Saturday, Abdulrahman Bin Mohamed Al Owais, Minister of health and Prevention (MoHAP), stressed that the UAE has successfully developed an integrated healthcare system following the best global practices, thanks to the unlimited support and wise directives of its leadership.

"From harnessing all resources to enhancing quality of life and securing enduring accomplishments, the country’s healthcare system is fundamentally designed to ensure the well-being and happiness of people,” the minister had said.

The World Health Day is celebrated annually on 7th April and each year draws attention to a specific health topic of concern to people all over the world.
