World Book Day is not only a celebration of literature,  Sheikha Bodour Bint Sultan Al Qasimi, Founder and Honorary President of the EPA, said on Monday.

Sheikha Bodour said, ‘World Book Day is not only a celebration of literature but also a powerful call to action. It reminds us of the profound impact books have in fostering friendships across cultures and continents and promoting empathy and understanding between distant peoples.

Today, I am particularly grateful for the exceptional leadership of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah. His unwavering commitment to prioritize books, reading, and culture as pillars of our development strategy has inspired many and contributed significantly to the progress of our nation.”

“Embracing books opens doors to curiosity, experimentation, and the limitless potential of new ideas— an important prerequisite for the progress of any society. This thirst for knowledge drives global progress, making World Book Day a perfect occasion to celebrate the central role that books play in this journey.”
