The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai (GDRFA) has advised all customers to exercise caution when receiving notifications regarding app logins.

In the event that such notifications are received, these notifications should be rejected immediately, and customers are advised to refrain from sharing their OTPs with any third parties.

GDRFA via its account of the X platform, warned customers of a recent surge in scams targeting individuals by impersonating government officials.

These scams often involve the victim being prompted to approve UAE PASS login requests and share their one-time passwords (OTP), which can lead to significant financial loss.

It further stated, "Should any inquiries, complaints, or observations arise, we kindly request that you contact the Amer call centre via the toll-free number 800511."
