The world is going through its toughest time facing disastrous effects of global warming which threatens the existence of the world. At the time of hardship the Global Climate Action Summit in Dubai will play a huge role and the whole world is optimistic that the COP28 conference will achieve fruitful results (“US pledges $3 billion to green climate fund at COP28,” Dec.2, Gulf Today website).

According to the report, Vice President Kamala Harris told the UN’s COP28 conference on Saturday that the United States would contribute $3 billion to a global climate fund — its first pledge to it since 2014. “Today, we are demonstrating through action how the world can and must meet this crisis,” Harris told the climate summit in Dubai. The new money, which must be approved by the US Congress, will go into the Green Climate Fund (GCF), which was created in 2010. Climate change has already jolted the world as the world has witnessed unexpected heavy rain, flooding and wildfire in different parts of the world which claimed thousands of innocent lives and financial losses.

It’s a laudable announcement by the Vice President Kamala Harris at the climate summit in Dubai in which she promised that the United States would support with $3 billion to green climate fund to fight against the climate change disaster and make the world a safe and secure place to live.
