One of the world’s most prestigious film festivals, the Toronto International Film Festival, has just ended for this year. This week we take a look at some films we think are the best to come out of Toronto along with a television show.

The movie “Eden” premiered at Toronto to the delight of critics and fans alike. The true story inspired, survivor thriller film features a starry cast that includes Ana de Armas, Jude Law, Vanessa Kirby and Sydney Sweeney. The film tells the story of a group of people in the 1930s who are trying to settle on an uninhabited island in the Galapagos and the dramas that go along with that. Oscar winner Ron Howard directs.

A directorial debut from acclaimed cinematographer Rachel Morrison comes in the form of a sports biography film titled “The Fire Inside.” Morrison tells the tale of American boxer Claressa Sheilds who won a gold medal at the London Olympics in 2012 when she was only 17-years-old. Sheilds is now a dominant figure in the sport. The film shows her early stuggles as a young teen and how she overcame many obstacles to secure her place at the Olympics.
