UAE’s Bloushi stars on opening day of Dubai International Parachuting Championship

A participant in action during the seventh edition of the Dubai International Parachuting Championship.

UAE’s Abdul Rahman Al Bloushi produced a flawless performance to grab lead at the seventh edition of the Dubai International Parachuting Championship.

Organised by the Emirates Aerosports Federation in association with Dubai Sports Council, the seventh Dubai International Parachuting Championship is being held under the patronage of Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council and will continue until Nov.27.

Forty teams, consisting of 168 male and female participants from 27 countries, are taking part in intense and heated competitions among Arab and European skydivers.

In the opening day's precision landing competition, Bloushi outclassed his rivals with an outstanding performance, achieving a remarkable score of zero centimeters in the three jumps.

Bosnia’s Sensa Vojakovic, secured the second position with a score of 2cm, while three jumpers from Austria, Sebastian Griezer, Czech Jakub Pavlisk, and Emirati Mohamed Obeid Al Suwaidi, tied for the third position with a score of 3 cm.

In the team category of precision landing, the Czech Republic team took the lead with a score of 17 cm, followed by Austria in second place with 23 cm, and Spain in third place with 24 cm. The American and Emirati teams tied for fourth place with 25 cm each, and the second Emirati team secured fifth place with 29 cm.

In the women's individual precision landing, Austria dominated with a score of 28 cm, while France came in second with 42 cm.

As for the water skiing competition, American Krit Pasalom claimed the top spot, followed by Frenchman Viga Kidrick in second place, Emirati Mihal Coronella in third place, American Break Justin in fourth place, and Italian Mario Fatoroso in fifth place.

Ali Omar, the director of events at the Dubai Sports Council, praised the exquisite organization, noting that air sports championships attract significant attention from European countries.

He commended the efforts of the Emirates Aerosports Federation and the organizing committee for their precision and commitment.
