Competition intensified in the second round of the fourth edition of the Dubai Masters RC Championship at the SkyHub RC campus in Al Lisaili flying field on the Dubai-Al Ain Road.

The championship for RC Aircraft is being held under the patronage of Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai.

The second day of the championship turned into a carnival, where a group of pilots led by UAE ace and world champion Tariq Al-Saadi presented a collective show showcasing their exceptional skills in this type of aircraft.

Some local pilots also presented shows outside the competitions for jet aircraft, which were well received by the large audience.

Taiwan’s Kenny Ko grabbed the lead, followed by American champion Nicholas Maxwell in second place.

Thailand’s Phavasasikanain finished in third place, while his compatriot Kamnonoi is in fourth. China’s Haisu is in fifth place.

Italy’s Mirko Cesena, one of the favourites, along with three aviators, failed to advance, eventually ending their chances at the competition.

Youssef Hassan Al Hammadi, Emirates Aerosport Federation (EAF) and Director of the Organizing Committee, confirmed that the closing ceremony will witness many surprises.

He revealed that five aviators have already qualified for the final.

Mohammed Yousef Abdul Rahman, Secretary General of the Emirates Aerosport Federation and Deputy Director of the Organizing Committee, pointed out that the Asian Aerosport Federation, represented by the President, the Technical Advisor, and several committee heads, is witnessing the competitions and will hold a joint meeting with the Emirates Federation for coordination and consultation regarding the preparation of joint cooperation between the two federations.
