Rains of varying intensity fell on separate areas across the country on Thursday concurrently with Eid Al Fitr holidays. More rains of varying intensity are expected to fall with a drop in temperature from Friday until next Monday.

While drizzles fell on Al Ruwais, light to moderate rains fell on Qareen Al Aish, Al Mirfa and Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Street towards Al Mirfa in Al Dhafra Region, on Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Street towards Abu Al Abyad Island in Abu Dhabi and on other separate areas.

The lowest temperature of 16.1˚C was recorded in Rakna in Al Ain City at 6:15am, while the second lowest temperature of 16.7˚C was recorded in Jebel Jais in Ras Al Khaimah at 12:45 after midnight.

Friday’s weather is expected to be partly cloudy to cloudy in general with a chance of rains on separate areas and a drop in temperature, especially in the west, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).

Light to moderate northeasterly to northwesterly winds will blow, turning to active at times at 10 to 25 and up to 40 km/h, while the sea will have regular to moderate waves in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.

Saturday’s weather will be partly cloudy in general and cloudy at times in separate areas with a chance of rains. Light to moderate northwesterly to northeasterly winds will blow, turning to active at times at 10 t0 25 and up to 40 km/h, while the sea will have regular to moderate waves in the Arabian Gulf and regular to moderate waves but may become rough at times in the Sea of Oman.

Sunday’s weather will be clear to partly cloudy in general as more clouds are likely to form and drizzles to fall on some inland and southern areas. Light to moderate northwesterly to northeasterly winds will blow, turning to active at times at 15 to 25 and up to 35 degrees Celsius, while the sea will have moderate to regular waves in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.

Monday’s weather is expected to be partly cloudy to cloudy in general with some cumulus clouds forming and a chance of rains of varying intensity falling on separate areas.

Moderate to active southeasterly to northeasterly winds will blow, turning to strong and sand-stirring at times at 30 and up to 50 km/h, causing the horizontal visibility to be lower. The sea will have moderate waves but may become rough and very rough at night in the Arabian Gulf compared to moderate waves to rough in the Sea of Oman.
