The cowardly terrorist attack on a concert hall near Moscow in which 143 people were killed and the death toll is still on the rise is such a heart-breaking and condemnable act (“Russia arrests concert hall gunmen as death toll rises to 143,” March24, Gulf Today website).

According to the report, Russia has arrested 11 people including four suspected gunmen in connection with the shooting rampage that played havoc with those looking for some relief when the going is getting tough by the day.

Russian President Vladimir Putin commented publicly on the attack and Moscow has not addressed the Daesh’s claim of responsibility, even as some lawmakers pointed to a possible Ukraine connection.  No one is above the law. There should be an open and independent inquiry of the terror attack, which shook up the authorities to no end. The act invited untold condemnation from different countries.  It was a well-planned terror attack which has jolted the Russian administration. I am sure the Russian government will not leave any stone unturned to bring the handlers of the heartless and barbaric assault to the book. I hope the Russian government will provide the best health facility to the injured people and financially compensate the families of the victims.
