The 77th annual Cannes Film Festival has been taking place in the South of France over the last 10 days. This week we take a look at some of the most important premieres, screenings and red-carpet appearances that took place at the festival.

The talented Emma Stone teamed up with Greek director Yorgos Lanthimos for the fourth time on the movie “Kinds of Kindess,” which premiered at Cannes. The pair dazzled on the red carpet and at the photocall for their film where their great chemistry was on full display. The film is a comedy which centres around three loosely connected stories. Willem Dafoe, Margaret Qualley, Joe Alwyn and Hunter Schafer also star in the movie.

Kevin Costner proudly descended on the Cannes red carpet with five of his children for the premiere of his new film “Horizon: An American Saga.” Costner recieved a 10-minute standing ovation which saw him get emotional as crowds showed their apprectiation for the film. The movie is a four-part Western drama which spans a 15-year period pre and post the American Civil War.

Demi Moore was also in Cannes for her new, slightly gory horror film “The Substance.” The feature has been the most talked about title at the festival which has been a great boost for Moore’s otherwise quiet career over the last few years. The movie recieved an 11-minute standing ovation and Moore’s performance has even generated Oscar talk. The film, by French director Coralie Fargeat, also stars Margaret Qualley who plays an alternate version of Moore.
